With a billion dollar business that is the envy of all his competitors, Steve Jobs seems to be the epitome of creative design and cutting edge business techniques. After all, all those fabulously popular Apple products with the features fans flock to... those are the kinds of inventions only someone like Jobs could dream up and profit from.

Except that a closer look reveals that Jobs didn't dream them up, at least, not most of them. A huge percentage of Apple products, their programs, features, and designs were literally stolen from the ingenuity and inventions of others, from private inventors to Apple's biggest competitors.

And if that's not enough of a shock, Steve Jobs has never denied it. One of his most memorable quotes is, "Picasso had a saying: ‘Good artists copy, great artists steal.’ We have always been shameless about stealing great ideas..." And if you look at the history of Apple's groundbreaking products, you'll see that it's true.
