The major difference between the standard and premium version of Reno smartphones is in the camera. OPPO Reno comes with dual rear camera with 48MP primary camera and 5MP depth sensor. While the OPPO Reno 10X Zoom comes with tri-rear camera setup with 48MP primary camera, Periscope 13 MP telephoto lens for 5x optical zoom and an 8 MP ultrawide angle lens.
These tri-rear cameras work together to achieve a full-focal-length coverage of 16mm-160mm, offering 10x hybrid zoom. The primary lens of the Reno 10x Zoom Edition employs optical image stabilization (OIS), closed-loop focusing motor and three different focus modes. The Reno 10x Zoom Edition is capable of recording 4K UHD video at 60fps, with optical image stabilization and the latest electronic image stabilization.
When it comes to front camera, both variants of Reno feature a 16MP front-facing camera that uses a Pivot Rising mechanism to pop up on demand whenever the front camera is selected from the camera UI. This motorized front camera mechanism on OPPO Reno can be used for more than 200,000 times without any mechanical failure. On an average use of 100 times per day, it can work with any issue over five years of usage.
OPPO has also integrated a Drop Protection mechanism in Reno that can sense in real time if the phone is in free-fall state, and automatically retract the front camera to its slot to prevent damage.
Reno comes with many gaming related features and enhancements like the Hyper Boost, independently developed by OPPO, which includes three modules: Game Boost, System Boost, and App Boost, which bring significant performance improvements in terms of the game experience, system speed, and App opening speed, respectively.
OPPO Reno series is the world's first mobile phone to obtain TÜV’s High-Performance Certification for Games.
