Huawei has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Misk Foundation to develop Saudi talent within the Kingdom’s ICT sector.

The MoU was signed during the Misk Global Forum 2019 by Mashari Al Ibrahim, CEO of Misk Fellowships, and Dennis Zhang, CEO of Huawei Tech. Investment Saudi Arabia Co., Ltd.

Through their partnership, Huawei will work with the Misk Foundation to bridge talent gaps in emerging technology fields such as 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT), by providing internship opportunities for nationals.

Interns accepted onto the program will have access to Huawei’s Innovation Center, labs and other facilities at the company’s headquarters in China, prompting international knowledge exchange and cultural understanding.

Mashari Al Ibrahim, CEO of Misk Fellowships, said:
