Industry-First RGB Liquid Cooling Redefines Thermal Design
Building on the dual-active cooling architecture of the REDMAGIC 11 Pro Series, the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ upgrades its AquaCore Cooling System 3.0 with industry-first RGB liquid cooling, TurboFan 5.0, graphene-based thermal materials, a 4D Ice-Steps Vapor Chamber, and Liquid Metal 4.0.
At its center is the industry’s first RGB liquid-cooling system, which integrates custom RGB LEDs and light-guiding materials into the liquid-cooling module. The RGB lighting is applied specifically to the circular liquid-cooling module on the rear of the device, where it can respond dynamically to in-game activity, transforming this distinctive circular element into a striking feature of the phone’s esports-inspired design.
The upgraded dual-crystal micro-pump delivers 85% greater pumping power than the previous generation while consuming as little as 20mW. A dual-loop cooling channel surrounds key heat sources, including the CPU and battery, while fluorinated coolant and a reinforced structure support efficient heat transfer and durability. The liquid-cooling channels also extend across the airflow path, enabling heat transfer between the liquid- and air-cooling systems for more integrated thermal management.
Working alongside liquid cooling, TurboFan 5.0 reaches speeds of up to 25,500 RPM and features IPX8-rated water resistance for the fan, dedicated dust protection, and 30% improved durability over the previous generation. These technologies form a five-layer thermal management architecture designed to sustain performance during demanding gaming sessions.
RedCore R5 and Gaming Energy CUBE Engine 4.0 Elevate Gaming Performance
The REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ pairs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 with up to LPDDR5T memory, UFS 4.1 Pro storage, the RedCore R5 gaming chip, and Gaming CUBE Engine 4.0. Together, these technologies coordinate rendering, touch response, frame-rate optimization, and power efficiency.
RedCore R5 supports full-scene ray tracing, including advanced lighting effects such as ambient occlusion and global illumination in compatible games. It also enables 2K resolution enhancement and frame interpolation at up to 185Hz across supported FPS, racing, and MOBA titles. Selected games can combine super-resolution, frame interpolation, and ray tracing for greater visual detail and smoother motion.
Meanwhile, Gaming CUBE Engine 4.0 uses AI-assisted frame-rate management to adapt system resources to gameplay demands, balancing responsiveness, sustained performance, and power consumption.
Extending the gaming experience beyond mobile titles, the upgraded PC Emulator brings AAA PC gaming to the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+. Users can log in to their Steam accounts and access their PC game libraries directly on the device, making it easier to enjoy a wide range of PC gaming experiences on the go. Support for individual titles is subject to game compatibility and system requirements.
Industry-First 185Hz Under-Display True Full-Screen Technology
To complement its gaming performance, the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ introduces the industry’s first 185Hz under-display true full-screen display, powered by ninth-generation under-display technology developed with BOE. The design eliminates visible punch-holes and notches for an uninterrupted viewing experience.
The display debuts BOE’s X11 under-display luminous material in a smartphone, with improvements in brightness, power efficiency, and expected service life. A 0.96mm bezel and 96.3% screen-to-body ratio further maximize the viewing area.
For responsive control, the Synaptics touch controller supports an average 500Hz global touch sampling rate and up to 5,000Hz instantaneous sampling, alongside Magic Touch 4.0 and wet-hand touch support. Dedicated capacitive shoulder triggers offer a 700Hz touch sampling rate and improved accidental-touch prevention for precise multi-finger gameplay.
Refined Transparent Design, Built for Comfort
Despite its advanced cooling system and larger battery, the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ measures 8.5mm thick and weighs 223g. Its 2.5D micro-curved middle frame creates smoother edges for a more comfortable grip, while the transparent rear design showcases elements of the internal cooling structure and RGB lighting.
The phone is available in three colors: Nightfreeze, Subzero, and Skyfrost. Skyfrost is launching later this year. Each emphasizes the device’s mechanical design language while giving the upgraded liquid-cooling system a more prominent visual presence.

The REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ features an 8,400mAh battery, a 12% increase over the previous generation, while maintaining a slim profile. With 120W wired and 80W wireless charging, plus bypass charging that supplies power directly to the system during compatible gaming sessions, the device is designed to help reduce heat and battery wear during play.
The experience extends to dual 1115E symmetrical stereo speakers with enlarged acoustic chambers and Dolby Atmos certification, multiple microphones, and an 0815 X-axis linear motor for immersive 4D haptic feedback. Full-function NFC supports more than 330 city transit systems in China and access cards, while Wi-Fi 7 and infrared remote control provide additional everyday convenience.
REDMAGIC OS 12 Expands AI and Cross-Device Connectivity
Running REDMAGIC OS 12, the REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ introduces a refreshed geometric interface, customizable lock screens, fluid glass-inspired visual effects, and a new “Ocean Incarnation” appearance for the MORA AI companion. The system retains an advertising-free experience and optimizations for everyday responsiveness.
On the China version, AI Magic Island displays useful updates, including delivery and ride-hailing information, through a floating interface. AI MORA Memory helps organize information across supported applications, while MORA Assistant supports voice-activated interactions and AI MORA Suggestions surfaces relevant reminders based on usage patterns.
Cross-device file sharing now extends to supported iOS devices, making it easier to transfer documents and gaming content across operating systems. These additions broaden the software experience beyond gaming to everyday communication and productivity.
GOLDEN SAGA and 5K MiniLED Monitor Expand the Ecosystem
Beyond the flagship smartphone, REDMAGIC introduced the GOLDEN SAGA collectible series, bringing forged-carbon cooling technology to the smartphone. The edition features a distinctive carbon pattern, a gold-colored liquid-cooling ring, and gold-and-silver detailing in the cooling airflow structure. A 24GB+1TB configuration will be available, with further details to be announced.
REDMAGIC also unveiled a MiniLED gaming monitor described as the world’s first to feature 5,184 independent local dimming zones, enabling precise local light control, deeper blacks, and brighter highlights. It also features REDMAGIC’s proprietary dynamic clarity technology, designed to reduce motion blur and ghosting in fast-moving scenes. Its dual-mode display supports 2K resolution at up to 330Hz or 5K at up to 180Hz, allowing players to prioritize refresh rate or resolution. A full-aluminum construction and transparent gaming window continue REDMAGIC’s signature design language. The monitor is priced at RMB 6,499 in China.
