LG has just announced its latest smartphone in the ‘X Series’ called X Venture targeted to outdoor lovers. It comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p full HD display. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM. LG X Venture runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
LG X Venture comes with IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance in 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes. It is also 14 MIL-STD 810G certified, a test designed for the U.S. military, for having the resistant to extreme temperatures, shock and water. There is a fingerprint sensor provided on the front along with physical buttons around it.
There is also a QuickButton provided on the side of the LG X Venture that let user perform while tasks while wearing gloves or when touchscreen isn't working properly due to moisture. There are three modes of QuickButton - short press for Outdoor Essentials, long press for accessing the settings and double press to activate or deactivate the Glove Mode. The QuickButton can also be customized to launch any other application and it works even when the screen is off.
LG X Venture also comes with an Outdoor Essentials application consisting of six useful tools - barometer, compass, activity counter (steps/calories/distance), exercise tracker, weather reporter and flashlight.
