Huawei launched the Watch 2 at the Mobile World Congress 2017 few months back along with the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus smartphones where it won the "Best Wearable of MWC17" award. Huawei Watch 2 is the next generation device of the last year’s Huawei Watch and now it is available in Saudi Arabia.
Huawei Tech Investment Company Ltd. has officially launched the Watch 2 in Saudi Arabia today. Huawei Watch 2 comes with a sportier look this time but the Classic variant is available as well. Huawei Watch 2 comes with a 1.2-inch circular AMOLED display with 390 x 390 pixels with a PPI of 326. The screen of the device is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon Wear 2100 MSM8909W processor clocked at 1.1 GHz. There is 4 GB of internal storage provided along with the 768 MB of RAM.
There is a SIM card slot provided in Huawei Watch 2, so it has independent connectivity with the network that let users to send messages or make calls without carrying heir smartphone all the time. On the connectivity side, there is also NFC and GPS provided for live GPS mapping with in-built antenna and Bluetooth 4.1 to connect the smartwatch with smartphones.
Huawei Watch 2 is an IP68 certified device for being water and dust resistant. It runs on the Android Watch 2 OS and features Huawei's Fit app that customizes workout plans of a particular user for specific physical activities such as running, jogging, cycling etc.
There are lots of sensors provided in the Huawei Watch 2 as it comes with 3-axis Accelerometer + Gravity sensor, 3-axis Gyroscope, 3-axis Compass, Heart Rate Sensor (PPG), Barometer, Capacitive Sensor and Ambient Light Sensor. The battery of Huawei Watch 2 is having 420 mAh capacity and it is claimed to have the longest battery life among the smartwatches.
