Nubia announced today the latest gaming flagship, the REDMAGIC 6S Pro. The REDMAGIC 6S Pro offers Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 888 Plus 5G Mobile Platform, a high-speed 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate, E-sports level gaming display, and an upgraded multi-dimensional cooling system with an enhanced built-in cooling fan.
Dazzling RGB lights are visible in the cooling turbofan with the new transparent back cover. The built-in turbo fan increases the air volume by 30% and the air pressure by 35% to ensure a robust performance for gamers. Lastly, a metal top cover reduces the fan noise by 40%. The enhanced built-in turbo fan helps whisk away the gaming phone's heat to avoid overheating and keep its powerful performance.
The REDMAGIC 6S Pro's cooling system incorporates new aerospace-grade phase change materials (PCM) to let the user feel less heat from the gaming phone while playing. This PCM system stores the heat and then slowly releases it over time to keep the heat from escaping so users don't feel it and have a more comfortable user experience from game to game. There's also a large copper foil covering the battery, while the VC (vapor chamber) sits behind the motherboard, and a large area of graphite next to the VC layer ensures a fast and continuous transfer of excess heat. The CPU's temperature reduces by as much as 20°C, and the average rise in temperature for the whole machine is reduced by 9%.
The REDMAGIC 6S Pro features a new mappable touchpad area on the back called “M key” for more controls and an enhanced console-like mobile gaming experience. The “M key” allows users to customize either one or two actions by sliding across the touchpad to activate. The dual shoulder triggers are upgraded to a 450Hz touch sampling rate with a response time as low as 8.3ms. To ensure their quality, they have been tested 2 million times for in-use durability. The shoulder triggers can be customized for any game, opening up many play styles worth exploring.
Pairing a 165Hz refresh rate and improved 720Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate, REDMAGIC 6S Pro enables players to run complex scenes from large games smoothly without stuttering and play more accurately and faster. The adaptive refresh rate can be switched among 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 165Hz, to cope with different scenarios from simple navigation to the most graphic-demanding games. The 6.8” FHD+ AMOLED display also has a screen ratio of 20:9 and a resolution of 2400*1080. The color performance includes a stunning depth of color of 8-bit and 100% DCI-P3.
