Vivo has officially unveiled its newest flagship, the X300 Ultra, introducing the much-anticipated device in China today. Aimed squarely at photography enthusiasts, the company describes the phone as “designed for professional photography.” With a powerful mix of ZEISS-engineered optics and oversized sensors, the X300 Ultra is positioned to narrow the gap between a smartphone and a mirrorless camera.

The star of the show is the advanced camera module, which evolves from the professional camera cage and telephoto extender concepts previously showcased at the MWC 2026 earlier this year. Vivo has implemented a “3+2 ZEISS Master Lenses Collection,” complete with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) across every focal length.

The core camera hardware on vivo X300 Ultra includes:

14mm Ultra-Wide Camera- Powered by a 1/1.28-inch Sony LYTIA 818 sensor for expansive landscapes and architecture.

35mm Primary Camera- Uses a  1/1.12-inch 200MP Sony Lytia 901 sensor tailored for street photography and natural portraits.

85mm Gimbal-Grade APO Telephoto Camera- The highlight of the system, featuring a massive 200MP Samsung ISOCELL  HP0 sensor built for detailed close-ups and portrait work with CIPA 7.0 stabilization rating

Video also receives major upgrades alongside Vivo’s new color science. The X300 Ultra introduces full focal-length OIS, 3D LUT import support, and multi-focal 4K 120fps 10-bit Log recording. Vivo’s Log format integrates with the ACES professional post-production workflow.

A redesigned Photography app debuts with a built-in 3D LUT library for various color styles. The device also supports Vivo’s Multi-Focal 4K Master Color Video pipeline, powered by the brand’s new color science.

This new color system begins with data captured from a 50MP True Color Lens featuring 12 spectral channels for pixel-level color accuracy. A Smooth EV dynamic compression algorithm analyzes multi-frame HDR data to preserve highlights and tones. From there, creators can fine-tune color output to suit their style—whether cinematic, vivid, or somewhere in between.

In terms of design, the X300 Ultra closely resembles its predecessor. The front features a 6.82-inch 3168×1440 Ultra XDR AMOLED display with a faster 1–144Hz refresh rate.  Powering everything is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, designed to handle large image files and high-bitrate video. To keep up during extended shoots, the phone packs a substantial 6,600mAh battery.

Buyers can choose from multiple configurations: 12GB or 16GB RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB up to 1TB. The device will launch in Black, Silver, and Green.

The X300 Ultra will debut in China first before expanding globally—a first for the Ultra lineup—with configurations including 12/256GB, 12/512GB, 16/512GB, and 16GB/1TB models, the latter offering satellite communication support.
