Alongside the X300 Ultra, vivo has also unveiled the new X300s, which sits between the X300 and X300 Pro.

The device features a 6.78-inch 144Hz OLED display with a 1,260 × 2,800 resolution and 10-bit color support. It uses a BOE Q10 Plus LTPO panel, making it very similar to the Pro model’s screen, except it lacks Dolby Vision support.

For photography, the X300s is equipped with a 200MP main camera with an f/1.68 ZEISS lens, a 50MP telephoto with an f/2.57 ZEISS APO lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.0 ZEISS lens. On the front, there’s a 50MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

This setup reverses the approach of the Pro model, which features a 50MP main camera and a 200MP telephoto. The X300s also uses smaller sensors overall. Its main camera relies on a 200MP 1/1.4-inch Samsung HPB sensor, compared to the Pro’s 50MP 1/1.28-inch Sony Lytia 828.

Interestingly, the HPB sensor used as the X300s main camera is the same one found in the Pro’s telephoto unit. Meanwhile, the X300s telephoto uses a smaller 50MP 1/1.95-inch Sony Lytia 602 sensor. The ultra-wide and selfie cameras are identical on both models, each using a 50MP 1/2.76-inch Samsung JN1 sensor with f/2.0 lenses and autofocus.

The X300s also supports a Photographer Kit that includes the ZEISS G2 teleconverter lens, extending the focal length to an equivalent of 200mm. The kit also bundles a dedicated case and mounting plate.

Powering the phone is the same Dimensity 9500 chipset found in the X300 Pro, paired with a large vapor chamber and graphite sheet for improved heat management. The MediaTek processor is combined with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X quad-channel RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, along with the V3+ imaging chip for camera processing. A massive 7,100mAh fourth-generation silicon-carbon battery keeps everything running, with support for 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.

Audio is handled by symmetrical 1511 dual speakers, while haptic feedback comes from a custom vibration motor rated at 1.1Grms with a rapid 40ms start-stop response.

The phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and introduces a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port. For now, the vivo X300s is available for pre-order in China in Titanium Black, Silver, Dream Core Purple, and Film Green.
