But what when you are in real hurry and do not want to leave your computer unattended even for a minute after leaving. In that condition, you can create a shortcut to lock your computer. Sounds great, right? Just follow the steps given below to create a shortcut on your desktop to lock your PC.

1. Right-Click the desktop and then select New --> Shortcut.

2. Now the Create Shortcut Wizard will be open. In the text box appearing there, copy and paste the following line:

rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

3. Click on the Next button.

4. Just enter a name for the shortcut like Lock Zone, Windows Lock or whatever you want. After that click on the Finish button.

You can also change the icon of this Windows Lock Shortcut or can assign a shortcut keystroke too which will save your time again when you are in hurry
