Huawei Mate 9 is finally announced and just unveiled by Huawei in a media event in Germany. Huawei Mate 9 is the latest flaghsip device in the Huawei's Mate series and it comes with a massive 5.9-inch full HD display with 1080p resolution and 2.5D glass.
The device is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 960 SoC that is the world’s highest performing smartphone processor according to GeekBench 4.0.0 multi-core CPU performance and DDR performance.
Huawei Mate 9 comes with the IntelliSense i6 sensor hub and runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS with Emotion UI 5.0 on top of it. Google DaydreamVR support is provided as well.
On the imaging side, it sports a a second generation and improved Leica dual-lens 12-megapixel camera with RGB sensor, 20-megapixel monochrome sensor and Hybrid Zoom, featuring 2x magnification. Few other camera features are dual-tone LED flash, laser auto focus and optical image stabilization (OIS). There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera provided for selfie and video calling.
Huawei Mate 9 features a aluminum metal unibody and a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device. The 4000mAh battery comes with SuperCharge (3.5-5V – 5A / 9V-2A) technology that is claimed to provide full day of charge in just 20 minutes.
