After the success of their entry-level rugged smartphone Ulefone Armor, Ulefone has now announced the Armor 2.
Ulefone Armor 2 comes with MediaTek Helio P25 2.6GHz octa-core processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, Android 7.0 Nougat OS, 5.0-inch full HD display with a pixel density of 441 PPI and Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 protection. There is a fingerprint scanner provided on the front side below the Home key and claimed to provide unlocking speed of 0.1 second.
Since Ulefone Armor 2 is a rugged smartphone, it comes with IP68 dust and waterproofing certification. The protect the open ports like earpiece, microphone and speaker, the high-density macro-molecule coating is used to make them waterproof.
The body of the Ulefone Armor 2 is made with the combination of flexible TPU, glass fiber reinforced polycarbonate and metal. The device is also resistant against extreme temperatures, high or low, and works in the temperature range from -40℃ to 80℃.
Ulefone Armor 2 comes with 16MP rear camera, capable of recording full HD videos and 13MP front-facing camera. There is a dedicated physical camera button to take pictures under the water. The Armor 2 is powered by a huge 4700mAh battery that is claimed to survive two days of heavy usage. It also comes with MediaTek's PE+2.0 fast charge technology to fully charge the battery in 120 minutes.
Few other features of Ulefone Armor 2 includes the 27 frequency bands under 6 types and multiple physical functional buttons that includes power on/off button, PTT button, camera shutter button, volume rockers, SOS button. There is a barometer sensor included too for measuring air pressure and altitude in real time. It features AR/VR compatible 6-axis gyroscope and smart NFC technology as well.
