Sony Middle East and Africa today announced the launch of its latest wireless noise-canceling headphones WH-1000XM4, the fourth generation of noise canceling headphones under Sony's multi-award winning 1000X series.
Whether you are flying for long hours or just relaxing in the cafĂ©, the WH-1000XM4 brings a distinctive experience with the best noise cancellation technology. The microphones picks up the ambient sounds and share the noise data via the dual sensor technology to the QN1 high fidelity processor for instant noise cancellation . It uses the Bluetooth® Audio SoC to adjust the music volume at a rate of 700 times per second to remove the noise.
Using the Edge-AI powered DSEE Extreme technology, WH-1000XM4 that upscales the low quality MP3 audio to high-resolution audio quality. The Edge-AI technology also contributes in real-time music analysis to distinguish instruments, genres, and individual elements of each song to restore a wide range of sounds lost due to music file compression for a distinct and richer listening experience . To build an AI system, Sony worked with Sony Music Studios in Tokyo to collect data on music to gain real insight into the elements that make up specific musical elements.
The new 360 Reality Audio technology can be used on WH-1000XM4 when listening and streaming the music on your Android and iPhone that makes listener feel that the singer is right in front of them . And through the use of Sony Headphones Connect app on WH-1000XM4 headphones, this technology can be used to maximize the spatial sound field according to each user's taste.
The Adaptive Sound Control in WH-1000XM4 analyses the atmosphere around you and your activity to adjust ambient sound settings accordingly. After a while, the system begins to recognize the places you visit regularly, such as the workplace, the gym and the coffee shop, and adjust the sound to suit the atmosphere around you. Whether you're traveling or walking down the road, you can enter the information of the places you visit regularly using the Sony Headphones Connect App, and the sound settings will automatically change when you visit those places. So you can enjoy the feature of automatic update of the ambient sound system when moving between places.
Speak-to-Chat is a new innovative feature that allows you to communicate with people around you while keeping the headphones on, for example you can order coffee while listening to music as WH-1000XM4 can recognize your voice when you begin to talk and it will then stop the music , in order to allow you to listen to the voices around and communicate without having to remove the headphones, and the music playback starts again automatically after 30 seconds of the last word you said.
It also comes with the Quick Attention feature that was made available in WH-1000XM3 headphones that allows listener to communicate with individuals while placing their right hand on the ear cup to instantly turn the volume down and hear the external sound. It also comes with the Wearing Detection feature which recognize the status of wearing headphones to play/pause music and to keep the battery for a longer period.
WH-1000XM4 comes with the Precise Voice Pickup voice recognition technology that uses five microphones in the headphones to process audio signals in an advanced way and capture sounds clearly and accurately to make hands-free calls.
WH-1000XM4 headphones can be connected with two devices at the same time through Bluetooth. When you receive a call, it recognize the device that's ringing and connect you directly to it. The headphones can also be switched between the two devices with a single click. WH-1000XM4 comes with the NFC and 30 hours battery life. 10 minutes of charging provides and 5 hours of battery life.
Sony WH-1000XM4 comes with the touch control panel and it supports the launching and controlling of smartphone personal assistants like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa to make it easier for you to get voice assistance.
WH-1000XM4 will be available in Black and Platinum Silver color options in the Middle East from August 2020.
