Today nubia announced the new REDMAGIC 7S and 7S Pro gaming smartphones, part of the REDMAGIC 7 Series, along with powerful PC gaming accessories.The new REDMAGIC 7S Pro was introduced in China as the “God of Frame Rate”, which is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Red Core 1, nubia's dedicated gaming chip, the upgraded ICE 10.0 cooling system, and Magic GPU frame stabilization technology to deliver the ultimate gaming experience. The operating system of the 7S Pro has been updated into REDMAGIC OS 5.5 with more interactions between Mora and gamers, and two new designs are available for the new 7S Pro: Mercury Edition, as well as the Bumblebee Transformers edition collection set.
For the REDMAGIC 7S Pro, the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip features a peak speed of 3.2 GHz, 10% improvement in CPU performance, 10% improvement in GPU performance, and 30% reduction in power consumption compared to the previous generation. Moreover, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ mobile platform with LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 provides stable and powerful performance for the 7S Pro. The built-in independent gaming chip "Red Core 1" is also integrated into its latest version. Adding shoulder keys, enhancing vibrations, defining game lighting effects, and enhancing sound effects are among the features of Red Core 1.
An upgraded heat dissipation cooling system has been added to the powerful 7S Pro gaming smartphone. In the latest ICE 10.0 cooling system, the built-in turbofan, has a new shark fin vortex duct and the position of the air inlet has been adjusted for a 16% increase in airflow in the wind duct and is 4dB quieter than its predecessor. The turbofan can reach up to 20,000rpm, with its 0.1mm ultra-thin blades, the turbo fan can increase both the airflow volume and pressure by 6%. A Graphene heat storage material is equipped as a new tenth layer to decrease temperatures by 2°C. Together with previous cooling features including 41279mm2 cooling material area and a 4123mm2 super large VC cooling plate, the ICE 10.0 cooling system manages to drop the temperature by 3°C.
The upgraded Magic GPU in REDMAGIC 7S Pro has increased the steady frame stabilization by 60% improving its three core aspects: phase synchronization, TC frame complement, and quintuple buffering. The cache area and the screen display synchronously process the pictures and the displayed pictures, respectively, and instantly "calls" from the buffer area when the image needs to be displayed. TC' stands for Touch Choreography. It is a technology that keeps a more stable gaming experience by compensating for in-game frame rates without increasing power consumption. The quintuple buffering from the Magic GPU helps 7S Pro provide a more stable frame rate for users.
The shoulder triggers are upgraded from 500Hz to 520Hz to provide fast response times as low as 7.4ms. The new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, upgraded cooling system, Magic GPU, works together with the powerful 6.8 FHD+ AMOLED display and UDC technology, 5000 mAh large dual-cell battery and a 135W fast charge, the latest REDMAGIC 7S Pro delivers the industry leading immersive gaming experience for all gamers.
There will be a new mercury edition of 7S Pro available which combines the idea of silver and transparency to reflect the future space age. Another new edition would be the limited Bumblebee Transformer version which includes the Bumblebee turbo cooler, standard 165W charger and other accessories as well. The latest Magic OS 5.5 has powered Mora as the first virtual host in gaming phones to live stream games, and also as the virtual assistant with new skins for daily reminders. New visuals and rich plugins, together with the powerful REDMAGIC Studio, the enhanced operating system offers a smooth and immersive gaming experience.
nubia has also introduced their first generation of PC accessories: the REDMAGIC gaming monitor, REDMAGIC keyboard, and REDMAGIC mouse.
