There are total three physical buttons - microphone mute/unmute, volume up, and volume down. There is no power button. So when you do not want to use Alexa, either you need to unplug it or mute the microphones.

The accelerometers providing the tap-to-snooze feature only works for alarms, not for pausing and resuming music as the Echo Dot.
