Ottocast, a global leader in smart in-car technology, today announced the global launch of its new Ottosafe product range, marking a major expansion of its intelligent aftermarket ecosystem from connectivity and entertainment into integrated in-car safety. The new lineup will debut publicly at IFA 2026, with live demonstrations at Ottocast’s booth (H6.2-109) and at ShowStoppers (Hall 5.3 South Entrance).

Ottosafe represents a new safety-focused layer within Ottocast’s broader smart-cockpit ecosystem. As outlined in the company’s IFA media narrative, the series enhances “awareness of road conditions and the in-cabin environment,” introduces “more intuitive tactile controls that require less visual attention,” and creates “less fragmented, more cohesive in-car interaction.” Together, these upgrades reflect the brand’s IFA theme: “Beyond Connectivity: More Possibilities for Every Car.”

Ottosafe Knob - Tactile CarPlay Control for Safer, more Intuitive Driving

The centrepiece of the Ottosafe launch is the Ottosafe Knob, a brand-new physical CarPlay controller designed for compatible Ottocast wireless CarPlay systems. As modern cockpits increasingly rely on touchscreens, simple actions such as switching apps, adjusting music or returning to navigation often require drivers to look away from the road and tap small icons.

The Ottosafe Knob restores the tactile, eyes-off-road interaction that many drivers miss. Its rotary-and-press design allows users to browse, select, confirm and return through common CarPlay functions with clearer feedback and more natural hand movement. By reintroducing physical control into the digital cockpit, the Knob makes wireless CarPlay operation easier, safer and closer to the feel of an original vehicle interface. It embodies Ottocast’s commitment to “more intuitive control” and “blind operation,” helping reduce distraction during everyday driving.

Cabin Care - Upgraded In-car Baby Monitoring for Safer Family Travel

Alongside the Knob, Ottocast is unveiling an upgraded version of Cabin Care, its hero in-car baby monitor designed to make family travel safer and more reassuring. Cabin Care provides real-time HD visibility of rear-seat passengers directly through the CarPlay interface, allowing parents to check on their child without turning around or diverting attention from the road. The media kit highlights its “HD monitoring” and “Split-Screen & PiP” capabilities, which help drivers stay aware while maintaining focus.

The IFA-launched upgraded model introduces a more powerful automotive-grade chipset, larger memory and an enhanced Bluetooth solution. It also expands compatibility by supporting both wired CarPlay-to-wireless CarPlay and wired Android Auto-to-wireless Android Auto conversion, opening the product to a wider global user base. Cabin Care has already earned CES 2026 Editor’s Choice honours from Techlicious, inside digital and nextpit, reflecting its strong appeal among parents and caregivers worldwide.

A New Safety Layer for the Intelligent Cockpit

With Ottosafe, Ottocast is advancing its vision of a cohesive aftermarket ecosystem that integrates connectivity, entertainment, intelligent interaction and safety. The company sees safety and real-time cabin awareness as the next major dimension of smart mobility, complementing its established leadership in wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and smart cockpit upgrades.

At IFA 2026, Ottocast will demonstrate how aftermarket innovation can unlock new possibilities for the cars people already own — delivering safer journeys, more intuitive interaction and multi-scenario value without replacing factory systems.
