Windows 10 is here and people are loving it a lot for lots of reasons. It is having new features and functionality, new design and user interface as well. The best thing is that people are getting the Windows 10 as a free upgrade to their existing Windows 7 and 8.1 devices.

But still chances are there that after upgrading to Windows 10, you would like to move back and downgrade to your previous version of the Windows i.e Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. Usually the downgrading process is pretty complicated and tiresome on any kind of device and OS.

But fortunately, Windows 10 provides an easy and official method to downgrade your Windows 10 to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, depending from which version of Windows you have upgraded to Windows 10, in few easy steps.

If you are few of those guys who would like to downgrade your Windows 10 and return back to the Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 then follow the steps given below. The only thing you need to know before that is this option is available only for 30 days from the day you upgrade to the Windows 10 from your Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.

1. Click on the Start Menu (Windows logo) at the bottom left corner as shown in the below image.

2. Click on the “Settings” option.

3. Now, click on the “Update and Security” option

4. On the next screen, look for the “Recovery” option in the left sidebar and click on it.

5. Now it will show an option as “Go back to Windows 8.1” or “Go back to Windows 7”, depending upon your previous version of Windows. Click on the “Get Started” button.

6. Now, it will ask you that you are downgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1/7. Just give your answer and click on the “Next” button. Windows will start the process of downgrading your PC from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.

Once the Windows 10 downgrading process is finished, you will have your old version of Windows back on your PC.
