HTC just announced its latest flagship smartphone HTC U Ultra and a mid-range Android smartphone HTC U Play in an event moments before. It was being speculated since a long time that there will be two variants of the upcoming HTC U smartphone.
And just few days before, few images leaked of the HTC U Ultra showing many of the features and design of the device like a secondary screen, USB Type-C , metal body, 2.5D glass on the front and back, laser auto-focus, Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and 12.3MP Sony camera sensor.
And now when the HTC U Ultra and U Play are announced officially, we are having the full list of all hardware specs and features of the devices.
HTC U Ultra comes with a big 5.7 inches WQHD screen and 1440 x 2560 pixels resolutions. There is a 2.05 inch secondary display provided with 160 x 1040 pixels resolution. It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS and powered by the Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 processor.
HTC U Ultra comes with an Artificial Intelligence that works as user's personal assistance. On the imaging side, there is 12MP primary camera with 4K video recording capability. On the front side, there is a 16MP ULtra Pixel camera for taking selfies and video calling.
It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage. The microSD card slot can be used to expand memory and it supports up to 256 GB of memory card. There is a fingerprint sensor provided on the back and there is no 3.5mm audio jack provided like the previously launched HTC Bolt and HTC 10 Evo smartphones.
