Huawei Consumer Business Group has launched its latest flagship smartphones in HUAWEI P30 Series in the Middle East and Africa region during a media event in Dubai where they did a light show projection on the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building.
HUAWEI P30 series smartphones are Huawei’s most advanced camera smartphones to date and come with many new innovative features and hardware such as the HUAWEI SuperSpectrum Sensor and SuperZoom Lens that allows users to go one step ahead in photography and videography as well.
The HUAWEI P30 Series of smartphones feature the 7nm Kirin 980 processor, innovative HUAWEI SuperSpectrum Sensor, an optical SuperZoom Lens, a new HUAWEI Time of Flight (ToF) Camera, and enhanced optical and AI image stabilization technology. Huawei P30 Pro comes with 8GB RAM and 128/256/512 internal storage while Huawei P30 has 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM.
HUAWEI P30 Pro has scored the DxOMark score of 112, highest among all existing smartphones currently. It comes with a new Leica Quad Camera System, including a 40MP main camera with the HUAWEI SuperSpectrum Sensor, a 20MP ultra-wide angle camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, the HUAWEI ToF Camera and a 32MP front camera.
The 1/1.7-inch RYYB HUAWEI SuperSpectrum Sensor works differently from the traditional RGGB Bayer filter by replacing the green pixels with yellow pixels that provides a high maximum ISO rating of 409,600 on the HUAWEI P30 Pro and 204,800 on the HUAWEI P30. This new sensor technology combined with HUAWEI AIS, OIS and the HUAWEI P30 Pro’s f/1.6 wide aperture is designed to deliver next level imaging experiences across a wide range of scenarios and lighting conditions.
The new SuperZoom Lens supports 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom and 50x digital zoom. A prism element in the telephoto camera bends light at a 90-degree angle to maximize focal length while minimizing camera height and without disrupting device design.
The HUAWEI Time of Flight ToF Camera on HUAWEI P30 Pro captures depth-of-field information to deliver accurate image segmentation and precise distance measurement allows for the simulation of multiple levels of bokeh. Huawei AI helps users bring it all together into the perfect shot. AI HDR+ enables the front and rear cameras to combine multiple photos taken in quick succession to eliminate overexposed and backlit images.
HUAWEI AIS and OIS provide the stabilization for all video capture settings to provide steady shot. The AI Video Editor enables users to add background music and special effects to their videos right from HUAWEI P30 Series smartphones without downloading any third-party app or using a computer video editing software.
HUAWEI Dual-View Video allows user to capture two perspectives of the same scene at the same time by using multiple cameras simultaneously. The HUAWEI P30 Series provides a full view of a scene while also capturing a close-up of a subject.
The HUAWEI P30 Series smartphones are created with a nine-layer nano optical color finish. The HUAWEI P30 Pro comes with a 6.47-inch screen and HUAWEI P30 sports a 6.1-inch screen. Both devices has 2340 x 1080 pixel FHD+ resolution Dewdrop Display with a tiny notch. Both devices will be available in Breathing Crystal, Amber Sunrise, Aurora, Pearl White and Black.
There is an In-Screen Fingerprint sensor provided beneath the display in both devices for quick and secure identity authentication. The high-end HUAWEI P30 Pro also features HUAWEI Acoustic Display Technology that delivers high-quality audio through a sound emitting display.
HUAWEI P30 Series runs on the EMUI 9.1 that brings many new and innovative features like an Extendable Read-Only File System (EROFS) that improves system responsiveness, HUAWEI Share OneHop for seamless file sharing between Huawei smartphones and Huawei laptops.
The HUAWEI P30 Pro features a 4200mAh battery and 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge that charges the device from zero to 70% in 30 minutes, keeping the device powered for more than a full day of intensive work. HUAWEI P30 Pro also comes with the HUAWEI SuperCool technology to improve thermal performance, keeping the phone cool even during heavy use.
Along with the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, Huawei also launched the mid-range P30 series smartphone Huawei P30 Lite in the very same event. Huawei also launched the Huawei Watch GT Active and Elegant Editions that were announced earlier at the Huawei P30 Series global launch event few days back.
HUAWEI P30 Lite comes with a 32MP 3D Selfie Superstar lens that works with AI beautification effects. On the back of Huawei P30 Lite, there is a 24MP AI ultra-wide triple camera comprising of 24MP main camera with a f/1.8 wide aperture lens, 8MP camera for ultra-wide angle shots and 2MP lens.
HUAWEI P30 Lite also come with the EMUI 9.0.1 installed along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, 6.15-inch Dewdrop display with 84.1% screen-to-body ratio. HUAWEI P30 Lite sports a slim 3D curved glass design and will be available in Midnight Black, Pearl White and Peacock Blue color options.
The price of HUAWEI P30 Pro is 3,399 SAR for 256GB storage variant and 3,999 SAR for 512GB ROM variant. The price of HUAWEI P30 is 2599 SAR and the price of Huawei P30 Lite in Saudi Arabia will be 1,099 SAR. Both new variants of Huawei Wwatch GT will be available at 799 SAR.
