Canon has decided to go the crowdfunding way for its newest concept camera IVY REC. Seems since this is an unconventional product for Canon, they decided to go with an unconventional way for its production.

Canon IVY REC looks like a USB flash drive, and is pretty much same in the size as well. It is designed to be clipped onto a belt loop or bag strap.

There is no screen on IVY REC and the clip works as the viewfinder. In the future, there will be a companion CanonMini Cam App to IVY REC that will enable live preview of the frame on your smartphone. You will also be able to transfer and share photos and videos wirelessly from IVY REC to your smartphone using the CanonMini Cam App.

Canon IVY REC comes with a 13.0 Megapixel camera with 1/3-inch CMOS sensor. It can shoot images and 1080p full HD video at 60fps. There is Bluetooth® and wireless connectivity provided as well.

IVY REC is a rugged camera and its casing is waterproof up to a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.
