Just few days back, I made the post about the future of the HP TouchPad in which it was stated that the HP TouchPad is surely gonna excite hackers and developers to use some other operating systems on it instead of the HP's WebOS. And the guess was correct. Now you can run the Android and also Linux on your HP TouchPad. Sounds great, right?
In this post, I am gonna show you that how you can run Android 2.3.5 on HP TouchPad. There is the Pre-Alpha build available from the TouchDroid team. Touchscreen works really fine with it but WiFi and few other features does not.
But install it at your own risk as this is just a pre-alpha version and Geeky Stuffs will have no responsibility if any error occurs. All of the steps to install the Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 to HP TouchPad are given below in the two videos. Just follow the steps shown in it. You can also check the TouchDrioid page to get the step by step instruction in text.
