Few weeks back, we have posted about the launching of Huawei Maimang 5 in China. At that time we guessed that this device will be launched globally as Huawei G9 because the previous released Maimang device was later launched globally as Huawei G8.
And as expected, today Huawei has announced the Huawei Maimang 5 as the Huawei G9 Plus for the global market.
Huawei G9 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch full HD IPS LCD screen with 1080p full HD resolutions, 2.5D curved glass display and a screen-to-body ratio of 77.9%. Thee device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 2.0 GHz octa-core processor, Adreno 506 GPU and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Huawei's indigenous EMUI 4.1 on top.
Based on the amount of RAM , there will be two version of the device - with 3GB of RAM and 4GB of RAM version. There is a fingerprint sensor provided at the back of the phone that is claimed to unlock the device in just 0.3 seconds.
Talking about the cameras and imaging, Huawei G9 Plus comes with a 16-megapixel primary camera with Optical image stabilization (OIS), Phase-Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF), dual-tone dual LED flash and 4K video recording. There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera provided for taking selfies and video chatting.

Huawei G9 Plus will be available in Champagne Gold, Rose Gold and Moonlight Silver color options. The price of Huawei G9 Plus for 3GB RAM version is US$ 360 and the price of 4GB RAM version is not revealed yet.
