Few weeks back I have posted about how you can schedule to turn on the silent mode on your Android device automatically with the help of some useful smartphone apps. This is very useful feature as you can schedule your phone to be silent for a meeting or for a movie which you are going to watch or for any other thing in the middle of which you would hate to be disturbed by a phone call or ringtone.

Though Android needs some third party apps for such feature, Windows Phone 8.1 OS comes with this functionality by default known as Quiet Hours. As the name suggests, this feature is designed to provide you some quiet moments from your phone.

When the Quiet Hours mode is activated on your Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone, all calls will directly go to the voicemail and notifications sounds will be silent. You can also add some exceptions as “Inner Circles” for the important people like your boss or family members, so when you receive a call or text from them Quiet Hours will still notify you about it.

Quit Hours can be activated on Windows Phone 8.1 manually or automatically based on the rules and conditions defined by you. Here I am going to share both manual and automatic way to set up Quiet Hours on Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone.
