We have posted earlier that Huawei Mate 10 is expected to come with a bezel-less display along with the Google's Project Tango based AR (Augmented Reality) features, HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor and an iris scanner.

An image of upcoming Huawei Honor Note 9 was also leaked recently showing the bezel-less screen. So it is obvious that Huawei is working on the bezel-less screens for its upcoming flagship devices.

And now we are confirmed that the Huawei Mate 10 will come with a bezel-less screen as it's confirmed by Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group.

Huawei very recently announced it shipped 73 million smartphones in first half of the year 2017, that is 21% improvement YoY. In an interview with Bloomberg, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s consumer unit shared the fact that Huawei has shipped more than six million Huawei P10 flagship smartphone since the launch of the device.

Talking about the Huawei Mate 10, he said that it will be an even more powerful product compared to the predecessor Huawei Mate 9 and will come with new features.

He also mentioned that Huawei Mate 10 will have a full-screen bezel-less display, better and faster battery charging technology, better cameras and many new feature to compete with the upcoming Apple’s iPhone 8 and will be even more powerful than the new iPhone.

Regarding the future of Huawei smartphones, Richard Yu said that the company is planning to exit the low-end and entry-level smartphone segment due to low profits in this smartphone segment and Huawei will focus more on mid-range and high-end devices. He said;

“We are giving up the very low-end devices because the margin in this is extremely low, and it’s not making enough profit for us.”

Huawei’s all recent flagship smartphones come with a dual-rear camera setup with Leica lenses, so it is expected that the Huawei Mate 10 will also come with the same but improved performance and new camera features.

Huawei Mate 10 is expected to be announced at the IFA 2017 in Berlin in September..
