Unlock the Developer Options on Samsung Galaxy S4 and Nexus 4

In the previous version of Android, Developer Options was available directly in the Settings menu. But from Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, this option was no more visible in the Settings. Developer Mode is still available in the latest version of Android. It is just hidden like the logos of various Android version, thanks to Google.

So, you will have to use a trick to unlock the Developer Options on Samsung Galaxy S4, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 or any other Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean devices. The method is same for all the Android 4.2.2 devices, all you need to do is to find the build number on your device.

HOW TO : Unlock the Developer Options on Samsung Galaxy S4


1. Go to the Settings menu on your Samsung Galaxy S4.

2. Tap on the More option.

3. Now, tap on the Software Information.

4. Scroll down to About Device, tap it to open it.

5. Look for the Build Number. Now tap it fast seven times.

After the sixth tap, a notification will appear on the screen that you are about to unlock the Developer Settings. Tap one more time to finally unlock the Developer Options on your Samsung Galaxy S4.

HOW TO : Unlock the Developer Options on Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and other Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Devices


1. Go to the Settings menu on your Nexus 4 or Nexus 7.

2. Scroll down to the About Phone or About Device and tap on it.

3. Scroll down to find the Build Number of your device.

4. Tap on it seven times just like the above method to unlock the Developer Options on your Nexus device.
