Recently Gmail changed the look of its Compose window. Instead of a full page email compose page, now only a small popup compose window appears on the corner of the screen which you can use to compose and send the email.

Though the new Gmail Compose window is nice in appearance and have nice features as well, many people would like to stick to the old version of the Gmail Compose for various reasons. And if you are one of them then, there is a good news for you.

Gmail is still having the old compose view and you can switch to it easily. But the option to switch back to old Gmail compose interface is a bit hidden. Have a look on the steps given below to get back the old Gmail Compose window.

1. Login to your Gmail account and click on the Compose button.

2. Now the new Compose window as New Message will popup on the corner of the screen. Click on the small arrow at the bottom right corner of it as shown in the below image.

3. From the options appearing on the compose window, click on the "Temporary switch back to old compose".

4. A notification message window will appear on the screen now. Click on the "Temporary switch back" button.

Now, you will have the Old Gmail Compose window back on your account.

But as you can see clearly, Google is using the term "Temporary" for this feature. Possibility is there that soon this option will be removed from the Gmail. So, better to use the new Gmail Compose side by side and understand it fully because sooner or later, old Gmail Compose will be totally gone.
